Lucy Needham, owner of FoodCalc, LLC created FoodCalc out of her concern for a healthier America through readily accessible nutrition information. Lucy’s recognition of the advantages and opportunities that an online nutrition solution would provide has allowed her to bring together the two skills of nutrition expertise and IT development. Certified to advise on FDA product labeling regulations, Lucy brings a wealth of industry knowledge, market research and a total understanding of designing and developing online nutritional applications.

Alyson Mar, Registered Dietitian

Alyson Mar, RD is FoodCalc’s in house registered dietitian. After completing her Bachelor’s of Science from San Diego State University in food science and nutrition she went on to complete a dietetic internship through United Health Centers WIC where she specialized in community health, and feeding low income children. Alyson’s professional and scholastic experiences also include food service management, clinical dietetics, menu planning for specialized diets, school meal reimbursement, and community feeding projects. As a Registered Dietitian Alyson is registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and a member of the American Dietetics Association.

Alan Phoon, Lead Web Developer

Alan Phoon is FoodCalc's Lead Web Developer. After completing a bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin in electrical engineering, he worked in the semiconductor industry as an engineer and later as a business manager. It was during this time that he developed a passion for web technologies and started pursuing a career in web development. Prior to joining FoodCalc, he was a freelance web developer designing dynamic websites for small business and nonprofits. His focus is on creating web sites with an emphasis on design, usability and customer experience. His skills include HTML/CSS, Javascript, Flash, PHP, MySQL and ASP.

Anup Shekhar Sharma, Senior Web Designer & Animator

Anup Shekhar Sharma, is MenuCalc’s Senior Web Designer & Animator. With a Bachelor of Commerce from “University of Delhi” & Advance Diploma in Multimedia From "Arena Animation,”.Anup's designs reflects passion and work towards reaching unsalable heights. Always striving to achieve the unusual, unseen and unimaginable, each of Anup's designs and style is seen throughout MenuCalc's web-pages and internal application design. With his proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, 3Ds Max, Macromedia Dreamweaver, CorelDraw, HTML, CSS & XHTML, Anup brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and design expertise to the MenuCalc staff.

Vinay Vishwakarma, Application Developer

Vinay has a Masters in Computer Application from University of Delhi. Vinay brings with him over 2 years of application development experience and has been involved in developing various eCommerce web applications and a news portal website. Vinay specializes in Microsoft .Net development platform and has expertise in web development technologies like ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and XML. Vinay’s knowledge and experience is and asset to FoodCalc. Vinay is responsible for building the database functionality and features. Working closely with FoodCalc’s Senior Web Developer he is able to offer unique back-end solutions to support our client’s needs and recommendations.

Shalini Magats, PR

Shalini Magats is an independent Public Relations Consultant and Business Writer with more than 12 years experience. She earned an MBA in Marketing Communications from the University of Illinois and has worked for Cohn & Wolfe, San Francisco; Euro RSCG Tatham, Chicago; Taylor Johnson Associates, Chicago and J Walter Thompson, Chicago.

She has worked with clients in diverse industries, including food, beauty, real estate, automotive, industrial lubricants, B2B marketing and restaurants.
